Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel and head to Uçhısar, where we'll start this trekking route through the valleys of Cappadocia. Are you ready for the adventure? Let's go!

First of all, we'll enter the White Valley, named after the colour of its rocks. We'll walk through this World Heritage Site and, as we walk among the huge, undulating rocks, we'll tell you about the geology of the area. In this arid valley grow some fruits that, if we are lucky, and they are in season, we'll be able to taste.

We'll continue the trail until we reach the Valley of Love, known for its huge volcanic rock pillars that have become one of the most famous views of Cappadocia. For approximately 2 kilometres (1.2 miles), we'll come across structures that reach 40 metres (131 ft) in height—pretty impressive, right?

Along the way, we'll make a stop at one of the caves, where you'll be surprised to see that it is furnished with some beds. We'll explain the reason for this and tell you how the ancient inhabitants of Cappadocia lived in these caves.

Afterwards, we'll take a break in a cafeteria, where we'll sit down to refuel with a delicious Turkish dish. After lunch, we'll continue walking through the Red and Rose valleys, famous for their reddish and orange fairy chimneys. These natural gems offer a perfect combination of unique landscapes and ancient history.

The highlight of the tour is the village of Çavuşin, with houses carved into rock formations—the scenery looks like something out of a movie! At the highest point of the village, we'll visit the church of St. John the Baptist, the second-oldest church in Cappadocia, dating back to the 5th century! Inside the church, there is a unique fresco that has surprisingly survived the passage of time.

Finally, after finishing a route of 18 kilometres (11.1 miles) in total, we'll say goodbye at the starting point 8.5 hours after the beginning of the activity.
