Our Private Day Trips

During the booking process, you'll get to choose between 2 options. Both last 9 to 10 hours and include pickup and drop-off at your hotel in Cappadocia, an English-speaking driver, and admission tickets.

Here are the details of each option:

Day Trip to Konya

After leaving Cappadocia, we'll go on an approximately 3-hour drive before arriving at the holy city of Konya. Are you ready to discover the fascinating history of the Central Anatolia region?

Our first stop will be at the impressive Mevlâna Museum, an immersive cultural complex. Here, we'll go on a visit to one of its mausoleums: the one of the Sufi mystic and philosopher Celaleddin-i-Rumi. As we explore the site, we'll get to know the teachings and legacy of over 800 years of the highly respected man. Afterwards, we'll get to explore the city of Konya on foot.

Did you know that Konya is considered Turkey's most religious urban centre? To find out why, we'll wander through its historical streets in search of the Alâeddin Mosque, located in the heart of the city. This place of worship is, for many, very important. You'll get to see this as soon as you see its entrance, adorned with an impressive portico and its beautiful Arab-style decoration beneath a single dome at its centre.

A few steps away, we'll see the Valley of the Butterflies. Here, we'll step into the extensive tropical gardens inhabited by thousands of colourful butterflies. As we explore its corners, we'll experience the perfect adaptation of the tropical climate for the conservation of these insects.

Day Trip to Ankara

Looking to get to know the capital of Turkey? To do so, we'll go on a 3-hour drive to reach Ankara. Our first stop will be in the Atpazari neighbourhood to visit the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, which is home to some of the most representative vestiges of the archaeological sites found in Turkey. It'll be a true journey into the past!

Afterwards, we'll make our way towards Ankara Castle and the Anitkabir mausoleum. As we walk around this tomb complex, we'll get to know the history of Turkey's founder and first president, Mustafa Kemal. From the outside, we'll admire the 10 symmetrical towers on this building, each of which holds great symbolism relating to Turkish history.

We'll make our way inside, and as soon as we step food inside, we'll get to see ceilings with bronze arrows and geometric ornamentation inspired by kilims, the iconic Turkish carpets. We'll also find engravings of various quotes in Turkish. What do they mean? Find out on this tour!
