In this ceramic workshop, you'll learn how to create and decorate a typical piece of pottery from Cappadocia and you'll get to know the Turkish culture in a fun and unique way!

Cappadocia Pottery Workshop

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel to go to Avanos, a town located in the heart of Cappadocia.

For centuries, pottery has been one of the most representative aspects of the culture of this region. Did you know that the first traces of this craft date back to 2000 BC?

We'll learn about the importance of Turkish pottery. Then, we'll stop to enjoy some unbeatable views of the Cappadocia valley!

Next, we'll head to a pottery workshop, where we'll first see a demonstration in which an expert craftsman will make a clay piece using traditional techniques.

Afterwards, you'll put this same process into practice and create your own ceramic object, decorating it to your liking. You'll have a great time playing with the clay and turning the potter's wheel to form plates, pots, and other utensils!

At the end of the experience, we'll drop you back off at your hotel 2 hours after pickup.

Te recojen en coche en tu hotel, te llevan hasta la actividad y después te devuelven al hotel. En nuestro caso fue Bekir, súper simpático. En el taller haces una pequeña demostración con arcilla. Después te muestran diferentes técnicas que ellos usan y finalmente visitas todas las salas que tienen de exposicion. Pueden comprar cualquier cosa, te hacen descuento por ir, incluso te lo mandan a tu país sin coste añadido. Translate this opinion into English.

Es muy interesante. Beco nos recogió en el hotel y devolvió luego. Ibrahim nos contó detalles muy interesantes del arte de la cerámica. Para mi gusto la experiencia es un poco corta ya que apenas estás dos minutos por persona y tardamos 1h en vez de 2h. Aún así fue muy interesante y curioso y lo recomendaría.
