Cape Town Tourist Bus
This comfortable bus offers an entertaining tour past the main places of interest around Cape Town. This open-top double-decker vehicle gives you unique views of the city.
During the journey, you have access to pre-recorded commentary in English about the attractions you drive past. Some of the most interesting stops include The World of Birds & Monkey Jungle, the intriguing Clock Tower, and the bohemian Long Street. The complete tour takes 135 minutes.

How does it work?
The ticket is valid for 24 hours from when it's used for the first time. This means that if the ticket is used for the first time at 3 pm on Monday, it'll be valid until Tuesday at the same time.
During this time, you can get on and off the bus as many times as you want, so you can easily explore locations such as Table Mountain, Long Street, Green Point, Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, and the Museum of South Africa.
Times and frequency
The frequencies and schedules of the bus routes are as follows:
- Blue line: 135-minute trip and 20-minute frequency between 9:00 am and 3:40 pm
- Purple line: 30-minute trip and 20-minute frequency between 9:55 am and 4:45 pm
- Red line: 90-minute trip and 30-minute frequency between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm
- Yellow line: 30-minute trip and 20-minute frequency between 8:45 am and 5:40 pm
However, these schedules are subject to change and may vary.
Cape Town guided tours
The cost of the ticket includes two guided tours of Cape Town which allow you to get to know the secrets of the city firsthand:
- Historic Downtown walking tour: daily departures at 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm
- Bo-Kapp neighborhood walking tour: daily departures at 10:30 am, 12 pm, and 2 pm
Both of these walking tours depart from 81 Long Street.

From the moment you purchase the ticket, you have a period of 3 months to activate it.
