Cape of Good Hope + Bo-Kaap Day Trip
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Cape Town and head towards one of the most emblematic areas of the city.
We'll visit Bo-Kaap, a formerly racially segregated neighbourhood that used to be known as The Malay Quarter and has become one of the main attractions of the city due to its colourful houses. We'll learn about the history of Bo Kaap as we stroll along its cobblestone streets and past its mosques.
We'll then set off for The Cape of Good Hope, the southernmost point of the African continent. Impressive, right? We'll pass through picturesque villages and luxurious mansions during our journey to this biodiverse area.
Once we're at our destination, you'll have some free time to choose between different activities, including a 45-minute ferry ride to Seal Island, where you can watch seals sunbathing on the rocks! During Winter, seeing the occasional whale is also a possibility.
If you prefer to stay on land, you can explore The Cape of Good Hope's rugged coastline, ride The Flying Dutchman Funicular and visit one of South Africa's oldest lighthouses. You can also hike up Table Mountain, spend some time with a few African penguins or check out Pollsmoor Prison, where Nelson Mandela was jailed.
We'll then return to Cape Town and say our goodbyes at your hotel approximately eight hours after pickup.
