Canterbury Ghost Hunt Tour

We'll meet at 8 pm in St. Margaret's Street outside Alberry's Wine Bar, where the city's ghost hunter, the guide who'll accompany us on this spooky yet fun tour of Canterbury, will be waiting for us. Are you ready for this terrific tour? Let's get started!

We'll explore the streets of Canterbury as we travel back more than 1000 years to reveal some of the stories of witches and ghosts that have plagued the English city. We'll discover the lodgings of Matthew Hopkins, a witchhunter who came to Canterbury in 1643 to expel these women from the town. Did he succeed?

Stories of the old tea rooms, ghosts of war and strange happenings in churches will be other of the stories along this guided tour. We'll also discover some of the most recent and surprising events that have taken place in Canterbury, such as the curse of the Toombs.

Finally, we'll stop in front of the cathedral, the undisputed symbol of the city. There we'll hear about the death of Saint Thomas of Canterbury. Will you be able to sleep tonight after hearing the tragic end of this archbishop? We doubt it...

We'll say goodbye at 9:30 pm in the streets of Canterbury.
