Join us on this excursion to the islands of La Maddalena, where we'll visit the best beaches of this Sardinian archipelago. We'll enjoy a beautiful cruise and make several stops for a dip.
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Via del Molo Vecchio, the port of Cannigione, where the boat will be waiting for us to take us on a cruise through the National Park of La Maddalena Archipelago.
We'll enjoy a relaxing cruise, and we'll be able to spot the northern coast of Sardinia. As we sail, we'll see Porto Rafael and the Bear Rock, a natural rock formation that bears a surprising resemblance to a bear. You'll learn lots of interesting facts about the places that we'll see thanks to the audio guide in English that is included on the tour.
We'll anchor the boat at Cala dell'Amore, a beach on the island of Spargi. You'll then have 1 hour and 30 minutes to take a dip in these crystal clear waters.
The excursion will then take us to Rosa Beach, one of the most famous beaches in Budelli. The beautiful pinkish-coloured sands are a big clue as to why it got its name! The amazing colour is a result of the erosion of fossils and corals. This beach is closed to the public, but we'll pass by it to take pictures of the dazzling scenery.
Then we'll visit the natural pools located in the area between Budelli, Razzoli, and Santa Maria. Here you'll have an hour and a half to swim in its transparent waters and snorkel if you wish.
Afterwards, we'll head to the historic centre of La Maddalena, where we'll leave you an hour free to have lunch and explore this town. Don't miss taking a stroll along the harbour! Or why not visit the church of Santa Maria Maddalena and see the iconic Piazza Umberto I?
We'll end the experience as we disembark at the departure point, 7 hours later.
Important
- During the stops, you'll be free to explore the area at your own pace, but you won't be accompanied by a guide. Swimming breaks are also taken on the boat while close to the islands, but without docking at their piers to protect the environment.
- During the visit to the natural pools, you can swim in the open sea and take a dip in its crystal clear waters. If you want to reach an area with a lower seabed, being a protected ecosystem, you'll have to pay an additional fee of € 10 (US$ 10.40) which is not included in the visit.
- The audio guides can be downloaded with an app. It is necessary to bring your own headphones to be able to listen to the explanations.
