Day Trip to Grasse + Wine Tasting
Day Trip to Grasse + Wine Tasting
Having picked you up in Cannes, we'll make our way into the interior of France until we arrive at Grasse. This little French town was the inspiration for the book Perfume, which was made into a film in 2006.
Grasse has a long history in the world of perfumes, possessing a huge quantity of factories and museums related to the product. We'll get to know the culture of perfume here, by visiting the Fragonard factory.
Having seen Grasse, we'll make our way to the medieval town of Valbonne, where we will see its monastery and discover the influence this religious building has had on the town. In Valbonne you'll have free time to explore its streets, or to try some of the local cuisine, fuelling up for the rest of the excursion.
The tour leaves Valbonne and makes a stop in Gourdon, where we will continue to discover the medieval charm of this part of France. You'll have the opportunity to see the church and the historic centre, full of old stone houses.
Finally, we will take part in a wine tasting in a vineyard in Bellet, an area known worldwide as one which produces some of France's best wines.
The tour ends back at your hotel in Cannes
