We'll begin this gastronomic tour of Cannes by meeting at 10 am on Rue Jean Jaurès. Ready to sample some of the best food on the Côte d'Azur? During our walk through the city center, we'll make seven stops where you'll taste a total of 15 Mediterranean specialties. Is your mouth watering yet?
First, we'll head to Marché Forville, the most popular market in Cannes. In this market square, located very close to the emblematic Boulevard de la Croisette, we'll see its numerous stalls of top-quality fresh ingredients. Meat, fish, fruits, vegetables and a wide variety of spices make this market very colorful.
After visiting the market, we'll continue our tour of Cannes by stopping at several local stores. In these establishments, you'll taste local products including several varieties of olive oil. You'll also enjoy socca, a specialty of southeastern France made with chickpea flour.
Continuing our tour in other restaurants in the center of Cannes, you'll taste distinguished products like Provençal honey. We'll also treat our palates to a tasting of French wines accompanied by a select pairing of local products.
Finally, at 1 pm we'll conclude our food tour of Cannes in the city center. Before we say goodbye, we'll recommend other places in the historic center where you can continue to enjoy Provençal cuisine on your own.
