Cíes Islands - Cangas de Morrazo schedule
The departure times of the return ferries from the Cíes Islands to Cangas de Morrazo vary according to the season and may be subject to change. During the booking process, you'll be able to see the schedule. However, we'll confirm the specific time best suited to your choice.
Returning on another day
If you'd like to return to Cangas de Morrazo on another day, please let us know when making your booking. If you camp on the islands, you'll need to obtain prior authorization from the Xunta de Galicia.
Guided tours in low season
During low season (October 1 - May 14), the ticket to the Cíes Islands includes a 1-hour visit with an official guide. This is because visiting the islands on your own during this season is prohibited. The guide will accompany you during the boat trip from the port of departure. Once you dock at the Cíes pier, the guide will show you around the best spots. During the guided walks, you'll learn tons of fascinating fun facts about the history, plants, and wildlife of this paradise Galician archipelago.
This tour, however, is not offered during the 10 days of Easter Week (that is, from the Friday prior to Easter Week through Easter Sunday), since this period is considered high season.
Authorization from the Xunta de Galicia
Please note that during peak season (May 15 - September 30, and during Easter week), you'll have to bring your own authorization from the Xunta de Galicia to access the Cíes Islands. We'll send it to you by email as soon as possible after you make your reservation. The rest of the year, we'll not send it to you, as it'll be the guide him/herself who will bring it on the day of the tour.
Authorization for campers
If you decide to stay at a campsite on the Cíes Islands, the campsite itself must process the authorization, or cancel it in case you want to cancel. If the authorization is not canceled by the campsite, the shipping company cannot cancel your boat tickets.
Meaning, if you want to cancel your trip to the Cíes Islands, you must contact the campsite first. Then, once the campsite confirms that it has processed the cancellation of your authorization, you must contact the shipping company (within the stipulated refund period) so that they can cancel your boat tickets.
Also, once an authorization is associated with a shipping company, it cannot be linked to another shipping company. Therefore, if you cancel your reservation with this company, you'll have to cancel your authorization and then process a new authorization.
