Chichén Itzá & Chichi Kan Cenote Day Trip
Description
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your chosen meeting point or at your hotel in Cancun.
First, we'll go on a panoramic tour of the colonial city of Valladolid. We'll learn about the history of the Church of San Servacio, the Municipal Palace, and the Municipal Market.
After visiting Valladolid, we'll go to the Chichi Kan cenote for a swim. We'll also enjoy a buffet lunch at a restaurant in the area and a tequila tasting!
Next, we'll go to Chichén Itzá, where we'll visit the most important and renowned remains of the Maya civilization. We'll learn all about its incredible secrets as we take a guided tour of the archaeological site.
We'll learn about the Kukulkán Pyramid, named one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World in 2007. Did you know that, during the solstices, one part of the monument is illuminated while the other remains dark? This phenomenon is a testament to the advanced astrological knowledge of the pre-Columbian civilizations.
Continuing our tour, we'll visit the Chichén Itzá temples, one of the most spectacular being the Temple of the Warriors, decorated with images of war and guarded by a forest of columns, custodians of Chac Mool, the god of rain.
With the tour over, we'll head back to the meeting points in Cancún, arriving 12-13 hours after initial pickup.
