Villa El Salvador Tour
Villa El Salvador Tour
At 9 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Callao to head towards the south of Lima, more specifically to the outskirts of the capital.
We'll arrive at Villa El Salvador, one of the largest and most populated areas in Lima, where different ethnic groups such as Quechua, Aymara, Amazonian, and Afro-descendants live together.
The high population density makes this one of the districts with the lowest incomes, which is why the Peruvian government has launched several projects aimed to develop the social and economic conditions of Villa El Salvador. During the tour, we'll learn all about them!
Afterward, we'll visit a restaurant owned by one of the residents of this community, where meals are prepared at low prices for the working-class people of the neighborhood. Also, we'll enjoy the colorful displays of street art on the facades of some of the district's homes.
Next, we'll see the Wood and Home Furnishings Center, an initiative that offers handcrafted products at affordable prices for low-income families.
Our next destination will be a traditional handicraft store, where you'll be able to admire their decorative pieces - the perfect place to buy a nice souvenir of your tour of Villa El Salvador!
Lastly, we'll head back to your hotel while you enjoy the countryside of the Lurin Valley and the beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean from the bus.
Between 3:30 and 4 pm, we'll drop you off at your hotel in Callao.
