Lima Day Trip

When making your booking, you'll be able to choose from the following day trips detailed below. They all included pick up and drop off at your hotel in Callao, transport by coach and an English-speaking guide.

Lima Tour + Bodega and Quadra Site Museum (5 hours)

We'll begin by visiting Huaca Pucllana to see its 82-foot (25-metre) high pyramid before exploring the historic centre of Lima and admiring its most iconic buildings.

Next, we'll take a journey through time and history at the Bodega and Quadra Site Museum to views its exhibition of objects from the Viceroyalty. Afterwards, we'll head to the Santo Domingo Convent, where we'll find a library with over 25,000 antique books.

Schedule: Every day at 8 am. 

Lima Tour + Larco Museum (6 hours)

On this tour, we'll see the truncated pyramid of Huaca Huallamarca and visit the Larco Museum. This museum houses the most extensive private collection of pre-Columbian art in Peru.

Afterwards, we'll try a delicious lucuma mousse, which is a fruit-based dessert. We'll then visit the iconic Santo Domingo Convent.

Schedule: Every day at 7:30 am.

Lima History Tour + Magic Water Circuit (10 hours 30 minutes)

We'll kick off our day trip by visiting Pachacamac, an archaeological site where we'll learn about Lima's pre-Inca past. Afterwards, we'll pause for a two-course lunch in Barranco and then continue our tour in the historic centre to discover the capital's most illustrious period.

Our next stop will be the San Francisco Convent, which is one of the oldest buildings in Lima, to see its spooky catacombs. We'll then attend the Magic Water Circuit's spectacular light and water show. 

Schedule: Tuesday to Sunday at 10 am.

Lima History and Food Tour (9 hours 30 minutes)

Let's sample Lima's gastronomy! We'll visit a local market and Chinatown, where we'll experience the fusion of Chinese and Peruvian cultures. During our visits to both places, we'll try some traditional delicacies.

Next, we'll stroll through the centre of Lima and learn all about its colonial past. Afterwards, we'll be taught how to prepare ceviche limeño and have a two-course lunch. To finish off with something sweet, we'll go to Barranco where you can try some picarones, a pumpkin and sweet potato dessert. We'll conclude our day trip with a visit to a handicraft shop.
