Calarcá Coffee Bike Tour
Calarcá Coffee Bike Tour
At 9 am, we'll meet outside the Church of San José in Calarcá and hop on our bikes. We'll set off on a pleasant 11-mile (18-kilometre) cycling route through the Colombian coffee region.
We'll pedal through incredible natural landscapes and cross mountain trails until we reach a coffee plantation, which will be the perfect place to immerse ourselves in the rural life that surrounds Calarcá.
During our tour, we'll cycle among coffee plants and explain some fascinating details behind coffee production in Colombia. Why is Colombian coffee so famous? How is this plant cultivated? How long does it take for a plant to bear its first fruits? You'll learn the answers to these questions and more as we discuss the country's delicious and aromatic coffee.
Afterwards, we'll stop at a restaurant to have lunch. Our lunch will consist of different cold meats, beans, or the typical Colombian sancocho chicken dish. We'll also have a cup of coffee, which is sure to be delicious!
Our tour will finish at 1 pm upon our arrival back at the starting point.
