Chug-Chug Geoglyphs Private Tour
After we pick you up from your hotel in Calama, we'll hop in a 4x4 and set off towards the Chug-Chug geoglyphs. Along the way, we'll discuss the history behind these drawings in the middle of the Atacama Desert.
Following a short 1-hour drive, we'll arrive at our destination. As we leave the car, we'll pay close attention to the details within these anthropomorphic drawings, stamped into the mountains and seen from old caravan routes through the desert.
Chug-chug is an area known for housing the largest amount of geoglyphs in the world. In fact, it's the third largest area of geoglyphs after Pintados, in the Tarapaca region, and the Nazca Lines in Peru. There are over 500 of them!
Then, after exploring one of the most interesting regions of Atacama, we'll head back to Calama and drop you off at your hotel 5 hours later.
