When making your reservation, you can choose between two tour options. Below, are descriptions of each option:
Hot Air Balloon Ride
Early in the morning, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Cairns. From there, we'll take you to a clearing where the balloon will be waiting for the ride. The ride will take approximately one hour.
When we arrive at our destination we'll witness the balloons being inflated and then climb into the basket to begin this exciting aerial adventure. Take off!
Gradually we'll begin to soar into the sky as we watch the sun peek over the horizon, it will be a completely magical moment!
From a bird's eye view, we'll have the opportunity to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Atherton Plateau and its imposing mountains surrounded by jungle. Get your cameras ready! You'll want to immortalise this moment.
After around 40 minutes of flying over the Cairns area, we'll descend with the balloon and take you back to your hotel.
Hot Air Balloon, Funicular, and Panoramic Train Ride
With this package option, after the balloon ride, we'll head to the Skyrail station. From there, we'll board a funicular that will take us high above the rainforest, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Cairns and the Kuranda Ranges—an unforgettable journey through the treetops!
Next, we'll board a second funicular to reach the Red Peak stop. Before that, we'll take a stroll along the boardwalk, immersing ourselves in the rainforest. Once back on the funicular, we'll continue to the Barron Falls station, where we can explore the interpretation center
We’ll then continue our journey to Kuranda and its bustling local markets. You'll have time to explore this charming town, and if time permits, you can visit the Butterfly Sanctuary, the Venom Zoo, or even take a boat ride on the Kuranda River.
Following our exploration through the village, it's time to hop on board a panoramic train. Once seated, we'll travel along the mining rail line that descends the escarpment of the Macalistar Range. During the 1.5-hour journey, we'll pass over the many bridges that wind between the mountains and waterfalls.
Then, we'll get off the train at Cairns Central Station and bring the experience to an end, 12 hours later.
