Cagliari Sella del Diavolo Hike
We'll meet in Piazza Yenne square in Cagliari at the selected time and set off on a bus ride to the Sella del Diavolo. When we reach the foot of this magnificent rocky headland we'll hop out of the vehicle and begin the hike up.
Do you know where Sella del Diavolo, meaning the Devil's Saddle, gets its name from? Legend has it that it's the place where the angels fought the devil. Led by the archangel Michael, they defeated the devil who ran away but left behind his saddle.
We'll go on a two-hour hike across this spectacular promontory and discover its natural beauty. During the hike, we'll find fascinating ruins of historical constructions such as a temple thought to have belonged to Astarte, the Sant'Elia Tower and even a fort from the Second World War.
When we reach the top, a spectacular view of the Golfo degli Angeli will make the ascent worthwhile! After admiring the breathtaking scenery, we'll head back down to the starting point in Cagliari.
