We'll explore this medieval quarter, founded in the 13th century and surrounded by a wall with the Bastion of Santa Croce and the Elephant Tower. From here, we'll approach Piazza Carlo Alberto, where the Cathedral of Santa Maria stands. There we'll tell you all about this Romanesque-style building.
The next stop will be at one of the viewpoints in the historic centre of Cagliari, from where we'll have an incredible panoramic view of the city. After a two-hour guided tour, we'll visit the National Archaeological Museum.
In its exhibition, we'll take a journey back into Sardinia's past, by visiting the remains of the different civilisations that have inhabited the island. The most important of these was the Nuragic culture, the famous Giants of Mont'e Prama were left by this ancient civilization. We'll delve into the history of these colossal 2000-year-old sculptures.
