Barumini and Giara di Gesturi Trip
At 9am, we'll meet in Yenne Piazza in Cagliari. Let's explore Sardinia!
After just over 1 hour, we'll reach Giara di Gesturi, a plateau in the centre of the island. We'll look out at an idyllic Mediterranean landscape in which its most famous inhabitants are concealed: the wild horses, which are a symbol of Sardinia.
You'll have some free time to have lunch on your own, after which we'll set off for Barumini. This spot is Sardinia's most important archaeological site, and its labyrinthine appearance often surprises visitors. This fascinating village from the Nuragic civilization is rich with history, as it was built in the year 1400 BC.
Our next stop is the Casa Zapata Museum. This late 16th-century building houses an impressive collection of archaeological remains from the Nuragic era.
We'll then return to Cagliari and be back at the starting point at 4 pm.
