Explore the beautiful villages along the Costa de la Luz with this Tarifa & Baelo Claudia Tour from Cadiz. You'll also visit the ancient Roman archaeological site, Baelo Claudia.
Tarifa & Baelo Claudia Tour
After picking you up in Cadiz, we'll head towards the coastline of the so-called Costa del Atún, one of the most beautiful maritime areas of the province of Cadiz.
Our first stop will be the Baelo Claudia archaeological site, next to Bolonia Beach. In ancient times, this settlement stood out for its garum production, the Romans' favorite sauce. Find out how it was made and see the ruins around the site, including the theatre, the forum, and the temples.
Next, we'll head to Tarifa, the southernmost city in Western Europe. We'll enjoy a brief walking tour through the city's Old Town, which sits along the banks of the Gibraltar Strait. Among the most noteworthy are the St. Matthew the Apostle Parrish and the Castle of Guzmán el Bueno, the stage for many legends in the area.
Following the short walking tour, we'll give you some 1.5-2 hours free to enjoy lunch at any local restaurant. Don't miss out on the local cuisine featuring a variety of dishes with fresh tuna!
The tour will end at the starting point in Cadiz, arriving between 9-10 hours later.
