Rio de Janeiro Tour
Description
At the indicated time we'll pick you up at your hotel in Búzios and start this excursion to Rio de Janeiro. Are you ready to discover one of the most famous cities in Brazil? Let's go!
As soon as we arrive in Rio, we'll first stop at the Maracana Stadium, inaugurated in 1950. Did you know that it has a capacity for more than 78,000 people? It's the largest football stadium in Brazil! We'll tell you many more fun facts about its history.
We'll also go to the Metropolitan Cathedral, where you'll be amazed by its architecture. With its characteristic conical shape, this temple is 106 metres (347 feet) in diameter and 75 metres (246 feet) high and can hold up to 20,000 people. Then we'll pass by the iconic Selarón Staircase, created by Chilean artist Jorge Selarón in homage to the Brazilian people. Photo opportunity!
Ready to discover one of the most famous postcards of Rio de Janeiro and Brazil? Continue to the Christ the Redeemer, located on Corcovado Mountain, 709 metres (2,326 feet) above sea level. At 38 metres (124 feet) high, it's one of the largest statues in the world and, since 2012, has been listed as a World Heritage Site.
Before continuing our tour of Rio de Janeiro, we'll stop at a restaurant to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch. To round off the experience in the best way, we'll take a scenic tour of Rio's South Zone.
Finally, we'll return to your hotel in Búzios after 13 hours of activity.
