Carmenere Wine Tour
At 10 am, we will start our tour of the Viña Santa Rita winery by meeting up at its Tourist House. First, we will explore the vineyards in a horse-drawn carriage. During the tour, we will learn about the history of this emblematic winery, which has become one of the main wine tourism centers in the Chilean town of Buin.
From the carriage, we will see the monolith dedicated to the Carmenere type grapes, which marks the specific point where this vine was rediscovered in 1994. You will learn about the history of these vineyards, which produce excellent Chilean wines with very characteristic signs of identity. After the horse-drawn carriage ride, we will visit the winery of the 120 patriots, where we will tell you about the notable people whom it is named after.
This winery is closely linked to the history of the company, as it is part of its most outstanding legacy. Viña Santa Rita has also witnessed other great episodes of the past related to the history of Chile. It will surely surprise you to learn about the origins of its vines, which go back many decades.
As a final touch, we will carry out a tasting of three Premium Carmenere wines. They will be accompanied by a selection of local cheeses, biscuits, and nuts. At the end of this tasting, at 11:30 am, we will give you a wooden cheese board as a fantastic souvenir present.
