Chiva Tour of Buga
Tour Details
We'll meet at the designated time at the Hotel Guadalajara. Accompanied by an audio guide in English, you'll get to know every detail of Buga's most emblematic spots, feeling like you've been transported to the heart of the customs and legends of rural Colombia.
Our first spot stop is the impressive Monument El Faro, a complete homage to the community's values. Afterwards, we'll head over to the Basilica del Señor de los Milagros, the city's main religious centre and pilgrimage destination that features beautiful architecture and a peaceful aura. Here, you'll have some time to admire and connect with the spirituality and devotion which define Buga.
Along the way, 3 culinary stops await us, where we'll try wines, coffees, and traditional sweets—authentic flavours that reflect the region's soul. At Dulces del Valle, you'll get to try a range of local desserts. You're bound to fall in love with manjar blancos and cortados!
We'll continue our tour with a visit to Cava Montoro to taste its wines and learn about the region's winemaking traditions. During the ride, we'll also enjoy a valluna fried dish accompanied by a typical drink, which will bring you even closer to Valle del Cauca's culinary richness. Afterwards, we'll visit Café Amaretto to enjoy a delicious coffee from Valle del Cauca coffee growers.
Additionally, we'll visit places in Buga as emblematic as Cabal Park, the Municipal Theatre, the nostalgic Salón Montufar, and the Castle, a symbol of the region's architectural elegance.
We'll end this 2-hour tour back at Hotel Guadalajara, where you'll get to try a typical snack which includes chiqui choque empanadas, a traditional dish that forms part of our region's ancestral cuisine.
