Ons Island Boat Trip
Ons Island Boat Trip
From Bueu you'll take a ferry to the island of Ons, located in the stunning Natural Park of the Atlantic Islands. The sea and the mountains lie side by side on this beautiful island which has been inhabited since prehistoric times.
On your arrival, you can walk along the paradise beaches and relax while admiring the landscapes. The more adventurous can set off on a fabulous hiking route (not included). You can choose how to spend the day, but don't forget to complete the experience by enjoying some of the island's traditional gastronomy, such as the famous Ons octopus (food not included).
You'll be amazed by the architecture of the island of Ons, which combines the features of a typical Galician coastal town with the island's landscape. You can also interact with the locals in the bustling restaurants and stores of this wonderful natural enclave.
Authorization to visit Ons Island
The island of Ons is a protected area with a daily quota of visitors, and in order to visit it you must obtain authorisation from the Xunta de Galicia.
Please note that in high season (from 15 May to 15 September and at Easter) you'll have to bring your own authorisation from the Xunta de Galicia to access Ons. We'll send it to you by email as soon as possible. The rest of the year, we won't send it to you, as it'll be the guide themselves who will bring it on the day of the tour.
If for any reason any of the people cannot attend the activity, you must give at least 15 days' notice and indicate the name and surname of the person who will be absent so that the Xunta de Galicia can remove him/her from the list.
Guided tour of Ons Island
In the period from October 1 to May 14 (except from the Friday before the beginning of Easter to Easter Sunday), the ferry ticket also includes a one-hour guided tour of the island of Ons.
