Villa Devoto Tour
At the time of your choice, we'll begin the tour of Villa Devoto in Plaza Arenales. After learning about the history of the Argentine soldier referenced in the esplanade, we'll make our way toward the highlights of this picturesque residential neighborhood of Buenos Aires.
The first stop will be at the School of Agriculture of the University of Buenos Aires, where we'll discover the legacy of English florist John O. Hall. Next, we'll pass in front of the Antonio Devoto Library, which is dedicated to the Italian immigrant after whom this neighborhood was named.
Continuing on, the tour will visit the Basilica of San Antonio de Padua, one of the district's main temples. The route will then take us to Devoto Station, built by British employees of the famous Pacific Railway. In fact, this infrastructure is located in the English area of Villa Devoto, which even has its own school and an Anglican church.
We'll also stop in front of the Antonio Devoto High School, the former home of the neighborhood's founder. Then, we'll make our way to the nearby corner of Habana & Segurola, a spot with an important link to Diego Armando Maradona. The guide will tell us all about it on the tour!
After an hour and a half of walking, we'll conclude the tour in the gastronomic hub of Villa Devoto, an area with lots of bars and restaurants where you can enjoy the rich cuisine of Buenos Aires at your leisure. Bon appetit!
