San Telmo Market Tour

We will meet up at Plaza de Mayo and head towards the iconic San Telmo Market. Since 1897, this building has been bringing visitors and local residents together.

We'll start by walking down Calle de la Defensa, one of the oldest streets in the Argentinian capital. Along the way, we'll discuss the city's history and make a stop at the Manuel Belgrano mausoleum. Then, we'll continue towards the famous Mafalda Statue so that you can take a photo by this iconic and charming child.

Finally, we'll arrive at our main destination: the San Telm Market. We'll head inside this historic building, you will discover row upon row of colourful market stalls selling local products. Alongside food, such as meats, fruits, and fresh vegetables, you will also encounter corners dedicated to antiques, books, and vintage cameras.

We'll stroll among the market stalls, stopping at one of the most popular in San Telmo Market. This eatery specialises in the Choripán, a chorizo sausage sandwich which is popular in the Southern Cone area of South America. Here, we'll try one of these delicious snacks and an empanada, alongside a glass of wine. What more could you ask for?

Our next stop will be at one of the most traditional stalls selling the tasty 'dulce de leche', Argentina's most typical confectionary delicacy. Here, you'll taste an authentic Argentinian alfajor, as well as a little surprise gift to end the tour.

After 3 hours, we'll end this tour at the San Telmo Market.
