Guided Tour of the National Museum of Fine Arts
Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll begin this guided tour of Buenos Aires' Fine Art Museum at the stairs at the museum's entrance.
Once we're all ready, we'll visit the museum's permanent collection, one of the most prominent of its kind in Argentina, with a qualified art historian. Throughout the tour, we'll focus on the masterpieces in the National Museum of Fine Arts, featuring works by both Argentinian artists and other foreign painters.
We'll begin our visit in the room dedicated to Argentinian artists, where we'll see featured works such as Ernesto de la Cárcova's Sin Pan y Sin Trabajo (without bread or work) or Emilio Pettoruti's Autoretrato (self-portrait). We'll also see works by renowned artists of other nationalities including Prilidiano Paz Pueyrredón, Cándido López, Ángel Della Valle, Lino Enea Spilimbergo, and Delesio Antonio Berni.
We'll continue our tour examining artworks from 19th-century Europe. The museum houses a large collection of sculptures and paintings that showcase outstanding artistic creations by greats from the continent, such as Manet, Van Gogh, Toulouse-Lautrec, and Rodin, among many others.
After 1.5 hours, the guided tour will come to an end. Afterwards, if you wish, you can revisit the rooms in the permanent collection that you enjoyed the most.
