Excellent guide. Good tour and predisposition. Everything was 10/10. Look for the correct location on Google map because it was wrong on Civitatis.

Tour Details

¡We'll begin this free tour of the San Telmo neighbourhood at the entrance of the Franciscan Museum of Monseñor Fray José María Bottaro, on Calle Adolfo Alsina, 380, in front of the Basilica of Saint Francis.

Firstly, we'll visit this basilica. Afterwards, we'll make our way towards the ancient La Estrella Pharmacy and the Library of Ávila, two iconic landmarks in the district! We'll then head over to the Saint Ignatius of Loyola's Church, where we'll discuss the capital's Jesuit history.

Afterwards, we'll pass the emblematic Casa de Rosas on the way to the Convent of Saint Dominic, where we'll visit the Mausoleum of Manuel Belgrano. Did you know that this monument underwent an extensive restoration? After learning about its history, we'll make our way towards the famous Mafalda statue. Cameras at the ready? Taking a picture with her is a must!

Next stop? Casa Mínima is the narrowest house in Buenos Aires but filled with history and fun facts. We'll then stroll past El Viejo Almacén, one of the most significant tango venues in San Telmo, where we'll find out all about this cultural movement and its past.

We'll also head into the San Telmo Market to visit a dulce de leche stand, where we'll get to try this delicacy.

After this, we'll go to the Church of San Pedro Telmo, the principal church in this neighbourhood named after their patron. Lastly, we'll visit Dorrego Square, where we'll say our goodbyes after a total of 2 hours.
