Tour Details

Looking to savour southern delicacies in one of Buenos Aires' traditional neighbourhoods? This is the place to be! At the designated time, we'll meet at Retiro Station to begin this tasty journey through the Mugica neighbourhood, also nicknamed Barrio 31.

We'll begin this tour by walking to Chipa Tio. Interesting name, isn't it? Here, we'll try the yuca breads, eggs, and cheeses known as chipa and chipa guazú. Without a doubt, you'll enjoy every bite of this snack considered one of the most authentic in the country. What a great start!

After this, we'll make our way to Petita, a spice shop where we'll reveal the true flavour of culinary tradition found in the homes of local families. Have you ever wondered why Argentinian barbecue tastes so good? You'll find out why here!

Our next stop will be Brazil. You've read correctly! It's time to get to know the neighbouring country's cuisine at the restaurant Las Naciones sin Fronteras (Nations Without Borders). Once we arrive, we'll be met with the incredible flavours of Brazilian cooking.

A few metres away, we'll find Paraje Kue, a venue that combines Uruguayan and Argentinian cuisine. Pay close attention to the origin of this restaurant's curious name, as it's linked to Guaraní culture and the affection of its friendly owner. It's a place where two nations come together!

The last stop will be at Las Palmeras, an iconic and well-loved Peruvian restaurant. There's no one in this neighbourhood who doesn't know Las Palmas or its owner! We'll try some traditional dishes like arroz chaufa, peanut soup, or causa limeña, accompanied by api or chicha morada, refreshing drinks from Peru.

Lastly, we'll say our goodbyes at the original meeting point after a total of 2.5 hours.
