To take the ferry from Buenos Aires to Colonia del Sacramento, you'll have to go to number 155, Elvira Rawson de Dellepiane Avenue. Here you'll be told where to get on the boat to Uruguay.
The ferry trip to Colonia del Sacramento takes an hour and 15 minutes. Once there, you'll then hop on the bus from the station to Punta del Este, which will arrive after 4.5 hours at the terminal located on Boulevard Artigas y La Angostura. When booking, you'll have the option to select the round-trip transfer option if you wish. The return ticket can be used up to 90 days after the departure date.
Schedules
- Departure: The ferry to Colonia del Sacramento from Buenos Aires departs at 8:30 am. Upon arrival, the staff will be waiting to show you where to take the bus to Punta del Este from Colonia del Sacramento, which arrives at 2:30 pm. From the 3rd April 2024, the outward journey will only take place on Fridays.
- Return: the bus to Colonia del Sacramento from Punta del Este leaves at 2:15 pm every Sunday. Once there, the staff will be waiting for you to tell you where to take the ferry to Buenos Aires, which leaves from Colonia del Sacramento at 8:30 pm with arrival in Buenos Aires around 1 am.
