Day 1: Buenos Aires - Colonia del Sacramento
On the first day, head to the Buquebus terminal in Puerto Madero at the designated time. One hour later, your sea journey from Buenos Aires will commence.
Enjoy a comfortable 1-hour ferry ride across the Río de la Plata aboard a Buquebus vessel. The journey will conclude at the port of Colonia del Sacramento.
Once you disembark in the Uruguayan city, a vehicle will be waiting at the port to transfer you to your hotel. From there, you’ll have access to the Colonia del Sacramento sightseeing bus. This hop-on, hop-off service allows you to explore the city at your own pace while hopping back on at any of its stops throughout the day.
The bus route includes 10 stops and takes approximately 50 minutes to complete. You can find detailed route information and timetables below:
On the first day, you’ll also enjoy a guided walking tour of Colonia del Sacramento. This tour lasts approximately 50 minutes and departs from Stop 1 of the tourist bus at 11 am, 12 pm, 3 pm, and 4 pm.
During the tour, you’ll visit iconic landmarks of Colonia, including the Street of Sighs, the Basilica of the Blessed Sacrament, the lighthouse, and St. Peter's Bastion.
After the tour, you can spend the rest of the day savoring the rich local cuisine or exploring other notable sites in Colonia at your leisure, such as the Real de San Carlos bullring. End your day with a relaxing night at the hotel.
Day 2: Colonia del Sacramento - Buenos Aires
After a comfortable night at your hotel in Colonia, you’ll have the day free to explore the city at your own pace.
In the afternoon, a vehicle will transport you to the Buquebus terminal at the port of Colonia del Sacramento. Please ensure you arrive by 4 pm. An hour later, you’ll board a ferry bound for the Puerto Madero dock. Your arrival in Buenos Aires is expected at 6 pm.
