Argentine Asado Experience + Workshop
The Argentine Asado, Much More than Food
The Argentine asado is a tradition, a way of eating meat that has been passed down through the generations and is an undeniable symbol of meetings with family and friends. Would you like to learn all about this Argentine kitchen ritual? And even prepare your own? Let's go!
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the entrance to The Asado Experience, where the hosts will teach us all about the secrets of one of Argentina's most iconic dishes: the asado.
Located in an old family manor house with more than 100 years of history behind it, this restaurant is one of the best places to make your own authentic Argentine asado. To begin, we'll learn about the different cuts of prime-quality meat. However, the meat doesn't take centre stage in this dish.
Throughout the cooking class, we'll discover the tricks to starting the fire, making embers and the cooking times that are required for each cut of meat. To finish off the cooking workshop, we'll learn the secrets of chimichurri, a dressing that is made to accompany the meat.
After the lesson, we'll sit at the table ready to taste some delicious food. The famous choripán, black pudding, pork matambrito, sweetbreads and a main course of pork loin with roasted vegetables will be the main events of the meal. All of this will be accompanied by an Argentine malbec wine. To top off the meal, we'll have a dulce de leche-type dessert.
After delighting our palates with some delicious food, the experience will come to an end after around 3 hours.
