Argentina & Peru 11-Day Trip

Day 1: Buenos Aires

When you land at Buenos Aires airport we'll be waiting for you at the arrivals terminal holding a sign with your name. From there we'll take you to the Argentine capital and you'll have the rest of the day free.

 

Day 2: Buenos Aires

The tour will start at 10 am with a guided visit around the Buenos Aires city centre. We'll discover the symbolic Avenida 9 de Julio, the historic el Obeliscoel Teatro Colón regarded as one of the best opera houses in the world, and the Presidential Office la Casa Rosada. You'll also visit the Metropolitana Cathedral and the neighbourhoods of San Telmo, La Boca and Recoleta, where we'll finish the tour at 4:30 pm. 

Then you'll have free time until 8 pm when we'll meet back up and head to Querandi. Here we'll watch a spectacular tango performance while enjoying a delicious meal. We'll head back to the hotel at midnight. 

 

Day 3: Buenos Aires

On the third day, we'll get the chance to travel by boat to the town of Tigre. We'll meet at Puerto Madero and climb aboard a boat that will take us along the Río de la Plata and Delta del Paraná. When we arrive there will be a bus tour to explore the area and visit the famous Puerto de Frutos market

The tour will finish heading back to Buenos Aires by train at 6 pm.

 

Day 4: Buenos Aires

You'll have the day free to explore Buenos Aires at your leisure. You could head inside the Teatro Colón, one of the capital's stadiums, or wander around the city centre and take in the Argentine culture. 

 

Day 5: Buenos Aires - Lima

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Buenos Aires and take you to Ezeiza Airport to catch a flight to Lima. When you get there, you'll be picked up at the arrivals terminal and taken to your hotel.

Then we'll meet up again at 6 pm for a unique night tour around the Larco Museum. You won't want to miss the halls and galleries full of treasures from ancient civilizations. The tour will be even more special with dinner in front of the Museum gardens. We'll go back to the hotel at 10 pm.

 

Day 6: Lima

The tour will start between 8:15 and 9:15 am with a panoramic tour of the Peruvian capital. You'll visit the city's most symbolic locations such as the Miraflores district, the Huaca Pucllana pyramid, the El Olivar Park and important buildings in the historic centre including the Government Palace and the Cathedral

For the next part of the tour, we'll be walking to the Basilica and Convent of Santo Domingo. Inside you'll find relics belonging to the city's most important saints. We'll head back to the hotel at 2 pm and have free time for the rest of the day.

 

Day 7: Lima - Cusco

We'll leave Lima, and head to the airport to fly to Cusco. Upon landing, we'll be waiting for you to take you to your hotel.

 

Day 8: Cusco

We'll meet up at 2 pm at your hotel to start the guided tour around the Peruvian city. During the tour, we'll visit important locations such as the Cathedral and its 4 ruins, the Coricancha Temple, the Sacsayhuamán fortressthe Qenqo Temple, Puca Pucara, known as the 'Red Fortress', and Tambomachay. We'll head back to the hotel at 6 pm.

 

Day 9: Cusco - Machu Picchu - Cusco

As we head into the final stretch of the trip we reach one of the highlights of the tour: Machu Picchu. We'll meet early in the morning and head to the train station. We'll get the Vistadome train to Aguas Calientes, along one of the most impressive rail routes in the world! Here we'll get the bus to the highest part of the mountain where we'll discover the citadel of Machu Picchu.

After walking around the terraces, passageways and temples in Machu Picchu, we'll head back to Cusco at 9 pm.

 

Day 10: Cusco - Valle Sagrado de Los Incas - Cusco

With Machu Picchu fresh in our minds, the penultimate day of the tour will start by visiting the village of Písac, an archaeological site in the Sacred Valley. We'll discover stone temples and buildings, then continue our visit to Urubamba.

Following on, we'll have a delicious buffet style meal before travelling to Ollantaytambo. To finish the day we'll explore Chinchero and its traditional market, full of crafts including ceramics and traditional Andean weaving. The day will finish heading back to Cusco at 6:30 pm.

 

Day 11: Cusco

We'll leave our hotel in Cusco and go to the airport to catch your flight back home.
