If you're a thrill-seeker, you'll love our paragliding activity in El Quindío! You'll get your adrenaline pumping as you soar over the coffee plantations of the Colombian Quindío Department and admire incredible views.
El Quindío Paragliding Activity
At your chosen time, we'll see you in Plaza de Buenavista, in the municipality of the same name in the Quindío Department. We'll hop aboard our vehicle and head to the airstrip, which is located at 6,200 feet (1,890 metres) above sea level.
When we get there, the pilots will explain the specific safety protocols and recommendations for take-off and landing during the paragliding activity. It'll then be time to get kitted out in our harnesses and helmets and take to the skies!
You'll spend 10 to 15 minutes flying over the Coffee Cultural Landscape. This mountainous area in the Quindío region is full of crops such as coffee plantations, guaduas and trumpet trees. During the 4-mile (7-kilometre) route, the pilot will tell you which municipalities you pass through and explain how the local people have adapted to the rugged landscape.
If we have good weather and flying conditions, you'll be able to follow the pilot's instructions and manoeuvre the paraglider yourself!
