On this tour, we'll visit the Great Hungarian Plain, known as the Puszta, the Baroque town of Kecskemét and a rustic farm. You'll even get to see a horse show and enjoy a traditional meal!
Puszta Day Trip with Equestrian Show
Having met at the indicated time at Apáczai Csere János utca in the center of Budapest, we'll set off on a road trip of almost an hour. We'll arrive at Kecskemét, a beautiful Baroque city located in the center of the Puszta, a grassland biome of the Great Hungarian Plain.
In Kecskemét, we'll participate in a guided walking tour of the historic center to see its main buildings: the town hall, the theater and some churches. You'll love it!
After visiting Kecskemét we'll head to Lajosmizse, where we'll visit a traditional Hungarian farm. Upon arrival, local shepherds will offer us a glass of barackpálinka, a rich apricot brandy. We'll then be taken for a ride in a horse-drawn carriage - quite an experience!
At the end of the ride, you'll see a traditional equestrian show where the riders will show off their expertise on horseback. Before finishing the excursion, we'll enjoy a delicious three-course traditional Hungarian meal with a drink in a rustic Csárda, accompanied by the sound of traditional music!
After about eight hours, we'll finish the excursion to Puszta in front of the InterContinental Hotel in Budapest.
