At the indicated time, we'll meet at the meeting point of your choice to start this tour to the Danube Delta. Ready to explore the second largest and best preserved estuary in Europe?
First up, we'll head to the city of Tulcea, the gateway to the Danube Delta. Once there, we'll board a boat that will take us on a 5-hour cruise through this Biosphere Reserve. Did you know that the Danube River crosses 10 countries and is considered the European Amazon?
This vast territory of floating islands, lakes, and forests covers 4,000 sq km (1,544 sq mi) and is home to one of the greatest biodiversity in the world. During the boat ride, you'll have the opportunity to spot some of the more than 300 species of birds and other animals that inhabit this paradise.
The colorful villages located along the banks of the delta offer a glimpse of its mix of cultures and people.
Then, we'll return to Bucharest, arriving 14 hours later, bringing our experience to an end.
