Bucharest Christmas Free Tour
Bucharest Christmas Tour
Christmas has come to Bucharest! To check it out, we'll meet at the indicated time at the Romanian Athenaeum. We'll start strolling through the narrow streets of the center and go back to the Middle Ages to discover the oldest Christmas traditions.
We'll first see the largest Christmas market in Bucarest, located in front of the Palace of Parliament. Here, you'll discover the most popular Romanian Christmas Eve menu. A hint: there is never a shortage of meat rolls. As you admire the many stands, you'll discover fun facts about Christmas in Bucarest. Did you know that Mos Nicolae, the Romanian Santa Claus leaves presents twice? Plus, you'll see the most typical Romanian nativity scene figurines in the stalls.
You'll also discover the most original Christmas baubles and be amazed by the sweet smell that fills the entire market. Cinnamon and ginger permeate the place! To complete this Christmas tour of the capital, we'll see different landmarks in Bucharest perfectly decorated, such as the Hotel Marmorosch, the Royal Palace, or the Revolution Square.
After 2.5 hours of Christmastime fun, we'll conclude the free tour at Constitution Square. As the locals would say, crăciun fericit!
