Our Private Tours

During the booking process, you can choose between the following routes, which are 6 to 8 hours long, depending on where your accommodation is located. All of them include hotel pickup and drop-off, and an English-speaking guide. These are the details of each of the following day trips:

Tour of Chicamocha National Park

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel and begin our journey to the Chicamocha National Park, a theme park aiming to teach about the culture and customs in the department of Santander with replicas of small traditional villages.

Once we arrive, we'll get to know the monument to Santandereanidad, which represents the Comuneros' Revolution, a historical event in Santander that served as the central theme for the construction of this tourist complex.

Afterwards, we'll hop onto the park's main attraction: the cable car that crosses the Chicamocha Canyon, over a 6-kilometre (3.7-mile) route. The views from here are truly breathtaking!

After hopping off the cable car, you'll have some free time to enjoy the theme park at your own pace, where you can try out zip lines, or even a chiva ride. For those seeking a true adventure, the park also has areas to go kayaking and paragliding.

During this time, you can also re-energise by trying some typical Colombian food. Afterwards, we'll meet up once again to begin our return journey to our original meeting point, where we'll arrive after a total of 6 to 8 hours.

Availability: Please note that this day trip is only available on Wednesday and Sunday, as the Chicamocha National Park is closed on Monday and Tuesday.

Tour of Barichara & San Gil

If you select this option, after picking you up from your hotel, we'll take you to visit 2 of the most beautiful villages in Colombia: Barichara and San Gil. 

Firstly, we'll go on a guided tour of San Gil. We'll wander through its Plaza Mayor while we tell you all about this area's history and traditions. We'll also get to admire the Santa Cruz Cathedral and walk along the cobbled streets where we'll see some examples of the colonial architecture that features in this village surrounded by the Santanderian mountains.

Afterwards, we'll get to know Barichara. Did you know that the village's architecture inspired the Disney film Encanto? You'll see how its colourful stone houses are very similar to the village the Madrigal family lives in.

We'll also pass some of its most historical spots, such as the Puente Grande, a bridge that connected the municipalities of Socorro and Cabrera across the Barichara Ravine. Plus, we'll also walk along the Camino Real, and a trip here isn't complete without seeing the Church of the Immaculate Conception, which looms over the central square. 

Once the tour of Barichara comes to an end, we'll take you back to your hotel.

Tour of Juan Curi Waterfalls Park

With this tour option, we'll pick you up from your hotel and make our way to the Juan Curi Natural and Ecological Waterfalls Park. Once we arrive, we'll go on a 30-minute hike to the great waterfall in Juan Curi. This spectacular water drop is over 120 metres (294 feet) tall. 

Afterwards, you'll have free time for the rest of the trip to enjoy all the outdoor activities offered by the park, including ziplining and canyoning. Additionally, nature lovers will have the chance to venture down paths to admire the region's local fauna and flora. See if you can spot some beautiful bromeliads!

The park's facilities also include restaurants and areas for eating where you can re-energise. After eating, we'll meet back up to take you back to the initial meeting point.

Quad Tour of Curití & Pescaderito Natural Pools

Looking for an adrenaline-filled adventure? Then why not choose this exciting quad trip? We'll first pick you up at the hotel and take you to Curití, a craftsmen's village, to go on a guided tour of the historical centre.

After this visit, we'll give you a brief safety chat about how to drive the all-terrain vehicles and then we'll be ready for the next part of our experience. We'll hop onto the quads and, over the course of 1 hour, we'll drive across trails to reach the Pescaderito Natural Pools. 

Once here, we'll hop off the quad bikes and walk to the spa area. You'll then have some free time to enjoy a refreshing dip in this beautiful natural enclave.

In the afternoon, we'll meet up once more to begin our return journey back to your hotel.
