Cameron Highlands Rafflesia Excursion
At the indicated time we'll pick you up at your hotel in Brinchang and we'll go into the forests of the Cameron Highlands in search of the coveted rafflesias. Let's go see the largest flower in the world!
After introductions, we'll get into a 4x4 and start telling you all the particularities of this plant. Once we're in the heart of the rainforest, we'll start an hour and a half walk.
Do you know what rafflesias look like and why these flowers are so special? You'll have to keep a lookout, as these plants are quite difficult to find in the forest. The buds take many months to develop and remain open for only 5-7 days!
Before continuing, we'll take a short break in the village of Kampung Raja so you can have lunch on your own. The trip will continue with a photo stop at the Sungai Palas tea plantation – you can even have a cup of tea if you like!
Next, we'll drive to the famous Mossy Forest, a natural environment full of moss that grows only at the highest points of the Cameron Highlands and other mountain ranges in Malaysia.
Finally, we'll head to Strawberry Farm, where we'll see how strawberries are one of the most important products of the area.
After 8 hours of learning and exploring, we'll drop you back off at your hotel to finish this rafflesia tour of the Cameron Highlands.
