Trnava Day Trip by Train
Description
At the time indicated, you'll catch a train from Bratislava train station for a short 30-minute ride heading towards the city of Trnava. As you disembark in Trnavna, the guide will greet you at the train station. Did you know that it's also known as Slovakia's Little Rome?
On this day trip to Trnava, we'll discover the town's history, exploring churches, picturesque streets and small cafes. We'll learn about the history of one of the first cities in the Hungarian Kingdom and admire many temples that make up this area that used to be the head of the bishop and archbishop of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
During the 2-hour guided visit, we'll see the mixture of architectural styles, such as the Saint Nicholas Gothic Cathedral and the Saint John the Baptist Baroque Church, and we'll explain what characteristics Trnava has that give it its nickname of Little Rome.
After the walking tour, we'll give you 2 hours of free time so that you can continue exploring Trnava on your own and enjoy some of the local cafes.
At the agreed time, you'll take the train back to Bratislava, arriving 4.5 hours later.
