At the agreed time, we'll pick you up at the George Barițiu Library and drive to the Transylvania region. Are you ready to enjoy this bear-watching activity in the Carpathian Mountains? Let's go!

During the trip as we reach the lookout point, we'll tell you about the safety rules and about the animals we'll see during the tour. This area is world famous for being home to a large number of wild Carpathian brown bears – it's believed to be home to around 5,000 of them!

Once we reach the forested area of the Romanian Carpathian Mountains, we'll be able to glimpse the bears in their natural habitat from a special viewpoint. Where do they hide, how easy is it to see them up close, and how much can they weigh? A ranger will share fascinating insights into these animals as we admire the natural landscapes of the Carpathian Mountains.

There is about an 80% chance of seeing a brown bear. We might see large males hidden among the trees or female bears playing with their cubs in the wild.

What's more, you can also observe other animals such as wild boars, roe deer, red deer, and even game birds that populate the treetops!

About 4 hours later, we'll finish the activity and drop you back off at the meeting point in Brasov.

Departure time

Although a start time is shown during the booking process, it may vary slightly. We'll get in touch with you to confirm the exact time you should be at the meeting point, which will generally be between 4 pm and 6 pm. This variation depends on weather conditions and the seasonal cycles and habits of the animals.

We cannot guarantee 100% that you'll be able to see any of the wild animals listed in the itinerary. Don't forget that wildlife is unpredictable, and we'll try our best to get close to them while always respecting their natural habitat.
