Chapada dos Veadeiros + Rio Preto waterfall
Are you passionate about hiking? If so, this is the best way of exploring the region. We'll travel to the town of São Jorge, there we'll visit the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park ready for a 12 km hike.
During the hike, we'll enjoy our surroundings by walking through its magical valleys until we reach the incredible Rio Preto waterfall. We'll leave you an hour of free time at the waterfall so that you can take a well-deserved dip and recover your strengths.
After our hike we'll head back to São Jorge where we'll begin our guided tour of its streets, visiting its many artisanal stalls. Did you know that these artisanal products were originally made by the Colunga? Descendants of the slaves who worked the gold mines.
Chapada dos Veadeiros + Valle de la Luna
Do you prefer something more relaxing? In that case, we'll take you to Valle de la Luna (valley), one of the most unique landscapes of the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park. Here, the rain, wind, and the thrashing of the São Miguel River have created a rocky landscape that seems out of this world.
We'll walk 2 km through this interesting place and tell you about some of the spot's bizarre UFO stories - they're sure to give you goosebumps. Afterwards, we'll visit the Maytrea gardens, a perfect example of the Brazilian savannah. You'll have time to take a dip in the natural pools that we'll come across before returning to the village of São Jorge.
We'll leave you an hour free for lunch and continue visiting small waterfalls in the area - there are more than 15!
