Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet in front of the Robert Gould Shaw and the 54th Massachusetts Regiment Monument to begin this ghost tour of Boston. Ready for a spooky tour? Let's go!
First, we'll make our way towards Boston Common, where we'll begin to feel a little bit freaked out as we approach the Gallows Tree, commonly referred to as the "hanging tree", where early executions took place. Then, we'll make our way past the Massachusetts State House, where the statue of the martyr Mary Dyer can be found. Do you know the truth about the White Witch? You'll learn all about it on this tour!
Afterwards, we'll walk towards the Boston Athenaeum, where we'll learn about the story of the reverend ghost which still roams its halls. The tour will continue at one of the most haunted hotels in the United States and then we'll head towards the King's Chapel Burying Ground, the oldest cemetery in the city.
Before we finish, we'll head to the Old State House and feel the hairs on the back of our necks stand up as we hear about the chilling events of the Boston Massacre which took place near here. Our last stop will be at the Granary Burial Ground, one of the most visited cemeteries in the country, and the final resting place of the three signers of the Declaration of Independence.
Here, we'll wrap up the tour and say our goodbyes after an hour and a half together.
