If you'd like to discover the best wines in the Aquitaine region, our Saint Emilion Vineyards Bike Tour is the ideal activity for you! You'll travel back in time as you visit this town's medieval monuments and taste its delicious merlots.

Description

At the designated time, we'll meet in front of the Monument aux Girondins in Bordeaux. From there, we'll hop on the minibus and drive to the neighbouring town of Saint Emilion, where the rest of the group will be waiting for us.

Once we've all arrived, you'll be given your bikes and we'll start our tour through Saint Emilion's stunning vineyards. Let's get pedalling!

Throughout the day, we'll have fun learning all about the winemaking traditions in this part of Aquitaine as well as one of the most popular grape varieties: merlot. In addition, we'll visit two of its main châteaux which have been converted into wineries, where we'll taste five of their best wines.

At midday, we'll enjoy a delicious picnic lunch in the enchanting gardens of one of the castles. Afterwards, we'll cycle to the centre of Saint Emilion and take a short guided tour around this ancient medieval village's most symbolic spots, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After a final wine tasting, we'll leave the bikes behind and get back on the minibus to return to the meeting point in Bordeaux, where the tour will end after a total of 8.5 hours.
