Old Bordeaux + Saint-Michel Neighborhood Free Tour
Description
Meet at the designated time on Chapeau-Rouge Street, specifically next to the Grand Theater of Bordeaux. From here, we'll head down Allées Tournys to visit the Cervantes Institute, the Dijeaux Gate, and Gambetta Square.
We'll then make our way towards the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design to later admire the luxurious Hotel de Ville and, of course, Saint-André Cathedral.
Next, we'll head to Fernand Lafargue Square and enter the center of Bordeaux, which will lead us to the Grosse Cloche monument. After admiring this gigantic 18th-century bell, we'll continue along Victor Hugo Street towards the Basilica of Saint-Michel, another one of the medieval jewels of Bordeaux.
The route will continue through the Capuchins Market. From there, we'll walk along the banks of the Garonne River, passing by the Bourgogne Gate, the Stone Bridge, and the Cailhau Gate.
To top it off, we'll stop at the Lumières Gardens near the Quays of Bordeaux to end our 2.5-hour tour.
