Cascadas Escondidas Hike
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Plaza de los Establos and, from this point in Boquete, we'll head towards the district of Bajo Mono.
After a 30-minute drive, we'll arrive at the beginning of our hiking route. This route, which measures around 4.5 kilometres (2.7 miles), will lead us through the Panama Jungle to the area of the Cascadas Escondidas waterfalls.
We'll embark on a journey along a trail that meanders through the mystical cloud forest. This very path was once trodden by pre-Columbian indigenous communities who sought after gold hidden in the enigmatic lagoons of this region. From these very lagoons, they sourced clay, a vital resource for crafting pottery that remains of significance in the area.
We'll climb a steep slope, which will lead us to a set of 3 waterfalls which flow within the jungle. Here, you can marvel at these water features, take some photographs, and, of course, jump in for a refreshing dip!
From here, we'll walk back to the beginning of the trail, where a vehicle will be waiting for us to take us back to the meeting point in Boquete. We'll arrive back at the meeting point 3-4 hours after pickup.
