Snorkelling in the Prata and Olho d'Água rivers we'll see dozens of fish and aquatic plants of the Mato Grosso do Sul region. Swimming in crystal clear waters we'll discover why the streams of Bonito are so famous.
Snorkelling in the Prata & Olho d'Água Rivers
At the agreed time we'll meet on the BR-267 road, at a tourist estancia located next to the Prata river. Are you ready to discover the underwater beauty of Bonito's streams? Let's go!
We'll put on our wetsuits and start to go deep into the riverside forest until we reach the source of the Olho d'Água river. We'll put on our goggles and snorkel and dive into the natural pool of this stream.
You'll be struck by the crystal clear waters of the river, a transparency that is very common in the river currents of Bonito due to the high concentration of limestone and the effect that this mineral produces with the reflection of the sun's rays. We'll explain all the details as we swim downstream admiring the aquatic flora and fauna.
The route, 1.7 kilometres long (1 mile) will take us to the meeting point of the Prata and Olho d'Água rivers. We'll notice how the temperature of the water changes immediately and we'll see how the visibility and ecosystems vary.
After four hours of activity, we'll say goodbye at the starting point.
Timetable
Once you have made your booking, we'll contact you to confirm the starting time of the activity, which will be between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm.
