On this day trip to Ravenna from Bologna, we'll discover the impressive artistic heritage of the so-called City of the Mosaics. Let's go!
Description
At the scheduled time, you'll head to the Bologna Central Station and begin this trip to Ravenna. You'll hop on board a train that will take you to the meeting point for the tour, which is only an hour away.
Once you arrive by train, we'll be waiting for you to begin a guided tour of Ravenna, a charming city with 8 monuments which have been listed by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites. During the tour, we'll see some of its biggest tourist attractions, such as the San Apolina Basilica, the Gala Placidia Mausoleum, the San Vitale Basilica and the Neonian Baptistry. Their mosaics will leave you stunned!
Departing from the Piazza San Francesco, we'll pass along the streets of the old town and stop off at the main points of interest in the city. You'll discover them all! After the guided tour, you'll have an hour of free time to grab a bite to eat and continue exploring the town.
Finally, we'll make our way to the station so that you can take the train back to Bologna, where your experience will end after a total of 7 hours.
Important
Keep in mind that you'll have to take the train on your own and, once in Ravenna, the guide will meet you at Piazza San Francesco 7 (about a 10-minute walk from the Ravenna train station).
