Bologna Private Tour
When making your reservation, you can choose one of the following routes:
2.5-Hour Tour
We'll meet at your hotel in the centre of Bologna or at the famous Piazza Nettuno, the first stop on our tour. Here, we'll see the beautiful buildings surrounding the square, and the Neptune Fountain, one of the symbols of the city. We'll walk through the streets of the historical centre, while the guide will tell us various anecdotes and curiosities about Bologna. Did you know that it is nicknamed la Dotta, la Grassa and la Rossa?
We'll reach the Church of San Petronio, famous for its unfinished facade. We'll then cross Via D'Azeglio to stop in front of Lucio Dalla's house. Our next stop will be the Archiginnasio, the first seat of the University of Bologna, to visit the fascinating Anatomical Theatre.
Our tour will continue to the Mercato di Mezzo, where our guide will tell us about the great Bolognese gastronomic tradition, and then we'll reach the ancient Palazzo della Mercanzia, to learn more about ancient local trades: beccai, strazzaroli, goldsmiths... The tour will end near the Due Torri, where our guide will tell us the stories of ancient Bolognese families.
5-Hour Tour
During this comprehensive tour of Bologna's historic centre, we'll follow the same route as the 2.5 hour private tour. After lunch, we'll head to two more unmissable sites: the Basilica of Santo Stefano and the Finestrella in Via Piella. We'll walk through the streets of the centre until we reach Via Indipendenza, where our tour ends.
2.5-Hour Tour of Bologna's Secrets
On this tour, we'll meet in front of the church of San Procolo, in Via d'Azeglio, for a walk in the shadow of Bologna's arches, in search of its most hidden secrets. Some say there are 7, others swear that there's actually 10. Are you ready to discover them all?
From Via Indipendenza, we'll then head towards Via Piella, where we'll admire its mysterious Finestrella. Next, we'll cross Piazza Maggiore and reach Corte de' Galluzzi, where we'll tell you about some chilling episodes...
We'll then explore Piazza Galvani and stop to admire the Two Towers, emblems of the city. Amidst unknowns and mysteries, we'll continue along Strada Maggiore and reach Piazza Santo Stefano, where we'll conclude our tour of Bologna's secrets.
