Day Trip to Chocolate Hills

  • 4 reviews | 31 travellers
It was great. We were a group of 4 couples, ideal for everyone to go in a van. The guide explained everything very well and in a fun way! We recommend the excursion, since the distances are a bit long and you are comfortable without driving.

Tour Details

We'll begin our trip from the Abraham Bohol Resort and set off to the famous Chocolate Hills. Are you ready to discover a unique landscape made up of more than 1200 hills? Amazing!

Our first stop will be at a salt factory, where we'll discover the traditional art of Asin Tibouk production, an ancient technique passed on from generation to generation. You'll learn about the elaboration process and the cultural significance of this important product of the region.

Next, we'll arrive at the famous Chocolate Hills, a group of 1268 hills that change color with the seasons. Here, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy scenic views from a lookout. Take out your cameras for a picture! If you're looking for an adrenaline rush, you can choose to join a quad tour for 30 minutes to explore the hills nearby from a different perspective.

From the Chocolate Hills, we'll then head to the Bilar Man-Made Forest, an impressive section of road surrounded by giant mahogany trees that stretches for more than 1.24 miles (2 kilometers)!

Our next stop will be the renowned Bohol Tarsier Conservation Area, where we'll have the chance to see these adorable and curious little animals! Did you know that tarsiers are the world's smallest primates? You'll learn all about their habits, their significance in the local ecosystem, and the efforts being made to protect them.

After visiting this sanctuary, you'll have a moment to relax on the Loboc River, where you can paddle surf. Glide through the serene river waters, surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, and immerse yourself in the tranquility and beauty of this environment. Of course, you'll have free time to grab some lunch in the area.

Before finishing our journey, we'll briefly visit the historic Baclayon Church, one of The Philippines' oldest churches and a perfect example of Spanish colonial architecture.

After 9 and a half hours, we'll conclude our day trip to the Chocolate Hills and return to our starting point in Bohol.
